Just in time for Tigers Baseball, am I right?
CBS Detroit reports that May 12 will be the date that the Q Line Rail will be fully operational, and that "administrators said there will be a special event at the Penske Technical Center followed by the inaugural first ride down Woodward Ave."
The railway will run from Downtown to Midtown, which will, at the very least, help businesses be more accessible once patrons have parked at specific locations. One of the spots, in fact, hops off right in front of HopCat, which makes the local food scene down there, as well as Third Man Records, more easily attainable without having to utilize street parking.
The trade off, will be to see how well the rail cars do in collaboration with cars on the road... But we'll worry about that later.
