CNN shares that Nike will be producing a new item called the "Nike Pro Hijab" which will be a lightweight polyester pull-on Hijab for Muslim women athletes.
We can only imagine how hard it is to wear a Hijab while trying to compete in a sport, and now images are being released of figure skater Zahra Lari.
Considering that the item will be lightweight and will be slightly opaque with tiny holes, it will be breathable enough for competing, according to CNN.
Of course, this will cause controversy, as any step toward normalizing cultures and religions often does in the United States as of late, but we're totally stoked for our Muslim friends to be one step closer to acceptance by companies recognizing the need for these products.
