In my heart, the jury is still out on how Detroiters is ranking. I kind of feel like they make Detroiters look stupid, personally, but I'm only 2 episodes in, and don't feel compelled to watch it live, I've been DVR-ing it.
Stars Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson were on Late Night With Seth Meyers, and shed the light on where they pulled their information on the ads they create on the show: old Detroit commercials.
Robinson also notes he's from "the suburbs," and enlightens Seth Meyers that you cannot say you're from Detroit if you're from the 'burbs.
